On May 27, the Department of Drug Administration (Ministry of Health) announced the suspension of circulation and recall of violating cosmetics of VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited (VB Group Company).
The Department of circulation and recovery nationwide G-Thera Amino Anti-Wrinkle Mask (box 25g, lot number Cl06C7, expiry date 18.12.2025) by VB Group is responsible for distribution. The reason for the recovery is due to the non -fully recorded product label according to the published record (lack of butylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin).
The Department requires the Departments of Health to notify and coordinate with business establishments to stop trading, recall and destroy violating products; at the same time, strictly monitor and handle violations according to regulations.
VB Group Company must send a notice of revocation to the points of distribution, product recovery, and storage of violating products until there are instructions for destruction, and report the revocation results to the Department before June 26, 2025. The company also had to review other batches of the product and if similar errors were detected, they had to be recalled and reported before June 10, 2025.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health will supervise the company's recall and handling of violations, and clarify and handle other products with signs of violations, such as Hanayuki Shampoo and VB Soft & Silk products of VB Group Company, and transfer the records of serious violations to the police for handling.
The Department of Drug Administration decided to revoke the receipt number of the Cosmetic Product Declaration Form for the G-Thera Amino Anti-Wrinkle Mask product released to the market by VB Group Company.
This product is manufactured by C&Tech Corporation, Korea, with the receipt number of the 6219/23/CBMP-QLD Declaration Form, issued on March 3, 2023. The reason for the revocation is that the original product label did not record the correct formula ingredients according to the approved declaration documents, causing incorrect information about cosmetic ingredients.
The decision takes effect from the date of signing and requires the Director of VB Group Company and the Departments of Health of provinces and centrally run cities to coordinate in recovering violating products according to regulations.
The Drug Administration Department temporarily stops receiving cosmetic declaration documents from VB Group Company for 6 months
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health reported the results of inspections and handling related to this company's products due to the original product label not stating the correct formula ingredients as in the published documents, causing false information to consumers.
Accordingly, all documents requesting the issuance of a cosmetic product declaration form received by VB Group Company before the date of issuance of the document will no longer be valid. After a 6-month suspension period, the Company must submit the new documents in accordance with current regulations if it wants to continue to announce cosmetic products.
