Regarding the serious electric pole explosion that occurred on Lien Phuong Street (Thu Duc City), on the morning of March 26, Cho Ray Hospital informed that the unit receiving patient T (48 years old, District 3) was in a state of electrical burns, an electrical fires of 55%, of which 28% were completely classified as a grade III burns, with cramps, compression of the chest and 2 arms.
The patient was admitted at 1-27 p.m. on March 25. The medical team performed shock resuscitation, pain relief, wound care, and thoracic and both arms dialysis.
Currently, the patient is infused, on a ventilator, with light fast-mediated pulse, blood pressure gradually decreasing, and urine is dark. The prognosis is very severe, the possibility of death is high.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, an explosion occurred at an electric pole on Lien Phuong Street, Thu Duc City at around 1:00 p.m. on March 25.
According to information from witnesses at the scene, at the time of the incident, 4 employees of a telecommunication cable company were pulling a cable on Lien Phuong Street. While an employee was climbing the electric pole to do the job, the pole suddenly exploded.
The explosion caused severe burns on the male employee. 3 colleagues of the victim quickly helped him get to the ground. The authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion.
