Inauguration of new school building sponsored by Labor TLV Fund

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper, Director of the Golden Heart Social and Cultural Fund recalled the survey of the former grade four school building of Huong Lien Kindergarten which was in disrepair and caused great concern.

Immediately after that, the Labor TLV Fund decided to sponsor a 2-storey, 4-room school building for Huong Lien Kindergarten to replace the old building.

“Today’s 2-storey school building project, although not a big project, is a deep sentiment of philanthropists and readers of Lao Dong Newspaper. It is the sentiment and deep concern of the provincial leaders and the Golden Heart Social Fund.

I hope that with this project, teachers and students of the school will have better teaching and learning conditions and achieve even higher achievements.

I hope the school will preserve and maintain the project not only to serve better education but also to preserve and cherish the meaningful gift of love and hope that many people have placed here," said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper, Director of the Golden Heart Social Fund.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien thanked the attention and direction of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, thanked the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor, thanked the People's Committee of Huong Khe district for coordinating with the Golden Heart Social Security Fund, and thanked the workers for their efforts to overcome difficulties to complete the project on schedule, ensuring quality and aesthetics in time to put it into use for the new school year 2024 - 2025.

Mr. Hoang Trung Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee expressed his thanks to Lao Dong Newspaper and the Golden Heart Social and Cultural Fund for their special attention to the difficult highland commune of Huong Lien, Huong Khe, Ha Tinh.

That special attention has helped improve the school's facilities, which is a great source of motivation for teachers and students to teach and learn better, achieving higher quality education.

The project with a total cost of more than 4 billion VND was started on November 29, 2023. Of which, the Golden Heart Social Support Fund sponsored 2.8 billion VND (70% of the project value), the remaining 30% is the counterpart fund of the People's Committee of Huong Khe district - the project investor.

The building currently serves four classes, each with about 25 students, to replace the previous grade four building which was dilapidated, leaky, and unsafe for teachers and students.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Ninh - Chairman of Huong Khe District People's Committee also expressed his thanks to Lao Dong Newspaper and the Golden Heart Social and Cultural Fund for their great attention to Huong Lien commune and Huong Khe district.

According to Mr. Ninh, Huong Khe district is currently facing many difficulties, so in the coming time, he hopes to continue receiving attention and support from Lao Dong Newspaper and the Golden Heart Social Fund.

At the ceremony, the Golden Heart Social Fund also presented 60 gifts to students of Huong Lien Kindergarten.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nho - Teacher of 3-year-old class at Huong Lien Kindergarten emotionally said: "I have been teaching in this difficult commune of Huong Lien for more than 30 years. This new school year, I get to teach in a new, spacious, clean 2-storey school building. The children get to study in such a good new classroom. I am very happy. I really thank Lao Dong Newspaper, thank the Golden Heart Social Security Fund, thank the People's Committee of Huong Khe district for coordinating to invest in the construction of this very meaningful project."
