After many interrupted calls, on the afternoon of September 15, Mr. Do Huu Nang (born in 1984, residing in Dong Hai ward, Hai Phong) had time to confide about 3 months " seemingly the longest in his life".
Mr. Nang works as a car garage worker, his wife, Ms. Luu Thi Hoa, works at Hai Phong Urban Environment Company Limited. Mr. Nang and his wife have 2 children, the eldest child was born in 2010, the second child is Do Huu Dong (born in 2012, currently studying at Dong Hai Secondary School). A happy family, healthy children, and being good at taking care of Mr. Nang are the greatest joys.
The incident happened to his family just one afternoon after, Dong went home to play soccer and complained of a headache. Immediately after that, the child had a high fever and was tired. The family took the child to the National Children's Hospital for examination. As soon as he arrived at the hospital, Dong had a convulsion and was taken to the emergency room. Through a series of tests, the family received news that their child had Japanese encephalitis, autoimmune encephalitis, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and sepsis.

Currently, Dong is being actively treated at the Emergency Department, Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases (Hanoi).
After more than 2 months of treatment, I started to recover but still slow. "From a child who studied well, obediently, lively, the child was lying in a coma for nearly 3 months. The day of the opening day, watching his friends stole books to go to school, I had to suppress tears to encourage my children and encourage my family to because of this" war "would be long" - Mr. Nang said.
After the doctor's diagnosis, there was a long series of days of struggling with the disease. Mr. Nang had to take a leave of absence to bring in the main income for his family to stay in Hanoi to take care of Dong; while Ms. Hoa still tried to maintain her job to make ends meet and have money for her grandchild to study.
What worries Mr. Nang the most now is the high cost of treatment. As of September 10, the total cost of treatment was nearly 700 million VND. Of which, health insurance supports about 200 million VND, the cost outside of insurance (external drugs, special services), the family has to pay for themselves, on average about 16 million VND/day. Mr. Nang and his wife have borrowed money from everywhere, and now they seem exhausted.
It is known that during the time Dong was being treated, the Urban Environment Company Limited where Ms. Hoa worked also cared about and supported him with some funding; the delegation of Dong Hai Ward and Dong Hai Secondary School also called for help for Dong. However, at this time, the family still needs the cooperation and help of benefactors, helping her child to be actively treated with the best treatment regimens, recover soon to be discharged from the hospital, and continue writing unfinished dreams.
