In the recent high school graduation exam, male student Chau Quang Duoc (Huong Son commune, Ha Tinh) achieved nearly 25 points. The entrance exam for the Construction Engineering major - University of Transport is the result of 12 years of tireless work in finishing the book.
The joy of passing the university entrance exam has just come, but the worry also flows in when the family is in difficult circumstances. She is nearly 80 years old, and is constantly sick. The mother was disabled and had a birth spinal defect and could not work hard. In a small, dilapidated house, Duoc lived with his mother and grandmother, lacking in love when his father left him when he was young.

As school is approaching, Duoc and his family are still worried. The dream of teaching at university is fragile for a determined young man.
Standing at the crossroads of his life, Chau Quang Duoc still hopes to continue writing his dream. For the male student, the path of education is the premise to rise up, helping his mother and grandmother have a better life. However, economic barriers have made Duoc's dream further away.
"Receiving the school entrance exam is both a happy and a worrying thing for me. Wishing to continue going to school but also loving grandmother and mother. If they go to school far away, the burden will fall on their mother and grandmother.
Now that I go to school, the cost is too much for my family. My mother and I are also sick at home, and there is no one to help us," Duoc confided.
Many nights without sleep because of her grandchildren, Mrs. Le Thi Xanh always takes care of her worries. Mong was worried about letting Duoc continue to go to school or stay home to help his grandmother and mother. For a long time, the family's livelihood has been based on cooking wine. Unstable income from 30,000 VND - 50,000 VND/day is just enough to eat 3 times. Duoc's study costs are mainly borrowed from neighborhood businesses. The debt has not been paid, the cost of going to university is too high.

In a small house, the nearly 80 year old woman was helpless when thinking about her child's future. Both Duoc and his mother have been disadvantaged since childhood. While her childhood was lacking in love from her father, her mother, who was born disabled, only spent time cooking wine and working for hire.
Ms. Xanh said: "My mother has been disabled since birth and cannot work hard. The family now has 3 mothers and children, grandchildren and grandchildren relying on each other and the love of the village. After 12 years of schooling, her mother and grandmother have also had to borrow money from everywhere. Dong Ang could not do anything, just taking care of and tying up her belts to take care of her grandchild.
Now I'm grown up, I'm proud of my parents, but it's so difficult that I don't know what to do".
Talking to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thich - Vice Chairman of Huong Son Commune People's Committee said that Duoc's family is a very special case in the locality. She is old and weak, her mother is disabled, and is a poor household.
"During his studies, Duoc was a good student, achieved excellent results for many years, and participated in many physical education and sports movements.
The locality also has a plan to support and specific jobs to help the family, so that the child can fulfill his dream. At the same time, I call on benefactors to continue to support and encourage me," the leader added.
