On December 25, Mr. Chu Thanh Tan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Ning Commune (Dak Lak Province) said that after receiving support funding from Lao Dong Newspaper, the repair of Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong's house has been completed, ensuring progress and quality.
According to Mr. Tan, Ms. Phuong's house has been renovated, completely repainted, reinstalled the window system, built a new toilet, repaired the kitchen area and equipped with additional beds and mattresses.
"The support of readers of Lao Dong Newspaper has contributed to improving living conditions, helping people have safe and stable housing. The repair work is being accelerated, ensuring safety, savings and efficiency" - Mr. Tan emphasized.
Receiving the newly renovated house, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong could not hide her emotions. She sent her thanks to readers of Lao Dong Newspaper and the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund for connecting and mobilizing benefactors to support her, helping her overcome the difficult period.
"The house has been renovated and spacious, I no longer worry when the rainy season and sunny season come like before. This is a great source of encouragement for me to feel secure in stabilizing my life. I would like to thank Lao Dong Newspaper, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund and the benefactors for their attention and help Ms. Phuong emotionally shared.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Sorrying the scene of a 71-year-old woman in Dak Lak living alone in a dilapidated house". The article reflects the situation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, in village 11, Ea Ning commune, who had to live alone in a dilapidated level 4 house on the roadside next to a coffee plantation.
Immediately after the article, benefactors of the Association of brothers and sisters of Quang Cai and Friendship (Ho Chi Minh City) donated 30 million VND to support Ms. Phuong in repairing her house.
Under the witness of the leaders of Ea Ning Commune People's Committee, representatives of the Office of Lao Dong Newspaper in the Central Highlands region presented 30 million VND to the Village Chief and Party Cell Secretary of Village 11 to repair the damage to Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong.
