On the morning of December 25, the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, entered the second working day.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor attended and gave a speech directing the congress.
The Congress was also attended by Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - and leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Also attending were Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong; representatives of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; former leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; representatives of departments, branches, sectors, and socio-political organizations of Ho Chi Minh City.
On today's working day, the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, will listen to a summary report from the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030; Report on the synthesis of opinions and recommendations of union members and workers in Ho Chi Minh City to the Party, State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Party committees and authorities; listen to the speech directing the Congress of the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
The Congress also announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Inspection Committee and positions in the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee, appoint delegates to attend the 14th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031 and voted to approve the Resolution of the 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030.
On the first working day, the Congress approved the program, working regulations, Report on the review of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation for the period 2023 - 2025; Report on the synthesis of comments on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and discussed in groups.
