On February 12, the Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Golden Heart Charity Fund of Lao Dong Newspaper to organize a program to give gifts to 50 workers in difficult circumstances at Hung Viet Garment Joint Stock Company (Duong Hao ward, Hung Yen province).
Ms. Do Thi Huong - Chairwoman of Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation and Ms. Pham Thi Thang - Vice Chairwoman of Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation directly came to the production workshop to give gifts, visit and encourage workers. Each gift includes 1 million VND in cash and a gift bag worth 300,000 VND, to promptly support workers in difficult circumstances during Tet and Spring.
At the workplace, leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation spent time chatting and listening to workers' shares about jobs, income and daily life. The atmosphere of the gift-giving ceremony was simple and warm, creating closeness and connection between the Trade Union organization and workers, helping workers clearly feel the concern and companionship in difficult times.
Among the workers receiving support, the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy (26 years old, from Muong Lai commune, Lao Cai province) is in particularly difficult circumstances. The couple went to Hung Yen to work as workers, raising 3 young children, and grandparents from the countryside came down to look after their grandchildren so that the couple could feel secure to go to work.

The family of 7 mainly depends on the meager worker's salary. The grandfather is amputated of both arms, one eye cannot see; the grandmother is in poor health; the children are still young, making a living far from home is full of hardship.
Receiving the gift from the leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation, Ms. Thuy emotionally shared: "My family is very difficult, working far from home, raising young children, and my grandparents are weak. Today, being cared for and supported by the Trade Union, my husband and I are very grateful. This is a great encouragement for my family to try harder in life.
The gift-giving program is not only meaningful in terms of material support, but also an important source of spiritual encouragement, helping workers become more confident, continue to strive to work, and stabilize their lives. The activity also clearly demonstrates the role and responsibility of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives of union members and workers, especially those in difficult and disadvantaged circumstances.
