The 2026 National Beach Tennis Championship will take place from August 18 to 19, in Lam Dong, attracting more than 50 players to participate.

This is an event within the framework of Sports Festival 2026, co-organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) and Nova Group, marking the return of the national beach tennis court after 2 years.

The tournament takes place from August 18-19 with the participation of more than 50 athletes, competing in 5 events, including: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles with a total prize value of up to 60 million VND.

The tennis players participating in the tournament come from units and localities with developed tennis movements such as Ho Chi Minh City, Son La, Thanh Hoa and Da Nang...

Some notable faces include athlete Nguyen Tuan Linh (Thanh Hoa) - No. 1 seed in Men's singles, athlete Le Bao Anh (Thanh Hoa) - No. 1 seed in women's singles.

Notably, the tournament has the participation of many young professional tennis players in tennis, creating an interesting combination of technique, speed and adaptability to specific competition conditions on sand courts such as Tran Thuy Thanh Truc (HCMC), Nguyen Minh Thien (Becamex - HCMC), Tran Minh Quan (Da Nang), Huynh Ngoc Khanh (HCMC), Lo Mai Huong (Son La)...

Mr. Mai Hoai Anh - Vice President of VTF, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament - shared: "Beach tennis is a sport rich in entertainment, dynamic and has a lot of development potential in Vietnam, especially when our country owns a long coastline and many suitable destinations to develop sea sports activities. Through this tournament, the Vietnam Tennis Federation wishes to create an additional quality playing field, contributing to promoting the beach tennis movement, and at the same time gradually improving the professional quality and attractiveness of the sport".

Unlike traditional tennis, beach tennis requires athletes to be able to move flexibly on sand courts, react quickly, control the ball well and especially the ability to coordinate tactics in doubles events.

Without the familiar boundary lines of hard or clay fields, each ball on the sand field is a challenge in terms of fitness, accuracy and competitiveness. These factors promise to create exciting competitions, beautiful balls and exciting point chases.
