The tournament is part of the ITF World Junior Tennis Competition system and is organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF), the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and NovaSports from September 9 to 14. 3. The matches take place at NovaWorld Phan Thiet court complex, Lam Dong province.
This year's tournament has the participation of more than 80 players from 14 national and regional teams, including: Cambodia, Guam, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macau (China), Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan and host Vietnam. This is an important playground in the ITF youth competition system, aimed at discovering and developing leading young tennis talents in the region.
The representative of the host country Vietnam participating in the tournament includes: Coach Dang Ngoc Vinh (HCMC) and three young athletes Vu Tuan Phong (Hanoi), Le Phu Gia (HCMC) and Nguyen Khac Nguyen (HCMC). With home advantage and careful preparation, the Vietnam U14 men's team is expected to perform impressively and aim to win the right to continue in the regional qualifiers.
Mr. Dang Ngoc Vinh said that the Vietnam U14 men's team is preparing very well and determined to compete with the highest spirit to aim for a high ranking, thereby winning the right to participate in the ITF World Junior Tennis Competition Final Qualifying 2026.
The athletes are all in very good physical condition and fighting spirit. In particular, in the current squad there are two players who just won the championship and second place at the ITF Asia 14U Development Championships held in February in Cambodia. This will be a great source of motivation for the whole team to confidently enter the tournament and contribute explosive matches," coach Dang Ngoc Vinh shared.
According to the draw results, the Vietnam U14 men's team is seeded No. 1 and is in Group A, along with opponents Kyrgyzstan and Nepal.
After the tournament, the two teams ranked 1st and 2nd will win tickets to participate in the ITF World Junior Tennis Aisa/Oceania Final Qualifying event, taking place from April 21 to May 3 in Kuching, Malaysia.
Previously, the Vietnamese U14 women's team successfully competed at the ITF Team Championships for Girls U14 2026, taking place from March 2 to 7. also at NovaWorld Phan Thiet stadium complex, Lam Dong province. The team won a ticket to continue with the Uzbekistan women's team.
