Da Nang City People's Committee has just issued a Project to build and pilot the Digital Twin model in the city in the period 2026-2028, aiming to build an integrated digital data environment, supporting management, administration and decision-making based on data.
This is considered an important step in the digital transformation process, creating a platform to connect spatial data with specialized data on the same intuitive system.
Through pilot implementation in some communes, wards and priority areas, the city will gradually standardize, digitize and integrate existing data sources. Data connection helps improve the ability to monitor, analyze, forecast and support management agencies to make timely and accurate decisions.
According to the project, the Digital Copies platform will be built according to the technical guidelines of the Ministry of Science and Technology, ensuring the ability to integrate and exploit multi-source data. Data from existing databases and information systems of the city and related units will be synchronized to serve the implementation process.
One of the key contents is building a data visualization model on a 2D and 3D digital map platform. The system allows spatial information lookup, monitoring and analysis, contributing to improving the efficiency of state management in many fields.
The project also orients the application of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), geographic information systems (GIS), Internet of Things (IoT), modeling and data analysis. These technologies are expected to enhance operational capacity, urban management and effective exploitation of digital data sources.
In addition to developing technology platforms, the city focuses on building data management mechanisms, operating and exploiting the system. The results of the pilot implementation will be comprehensively evaluated to serve as a basis for completing the model and proposing an expansion roadmap throughout the city in the near future.
The Department of Science and Technology is assigned to be the focal agency to preside over the implementation of the Project, and at the same time coordinate with departments, branches and localities to participate in the pilot to connect, share data, effectively exploit the system and evaluate implementation results.
