Barron Trump - the youngest son of US President Donald Trump - unexpectedly became the focus of attention at the State of the Union address when his outfit choice caused a wave of discussion on social networks.
On the evening of February 24 (local time), Barron Trump, 19, appeared at a joint session of the US Congress with family members to watch his father's speech. This is also the first time Barron Trump has attended this annual event.
Barron Trump wore a traditional black vest, sitting between First Lady Melania Trump and her sister Ivanka Trump in the House of Representatives to watch his father's speech.
Barron Trump's siblings were also present with their partner, including brother Donald Trump Jr. and fiancée Bettina Anderson, brother Eric Trump and sister-in-law Lara Trump, sister Tiffany Trump and husband Michael Boulos.

Barron's tie quickly attracted attention because many viewers on social networks thought that he was tying the tie incorrectly, making the tie look loose and unbalanced.
Some comments questioned why a university student had such an "incident" with his outfit at such a formal event, and some even humorously suggested that family members should "help adjust the tie".
Besides the tie style, Barron's blue tie also surprised a part of the audience, when he did not choose red - a color often associated with the Republican Party and the political events of President Trump's family.
Barron Trump is the 5th and only son of President Trump and his wife Melania. Unlike his siblings, he remained quite secretive during his father's second term. Currently, Barron Trump is a sophomore at Stern Business School at the University of New York and rarely appears in front of the media.
