The information was revealed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a meeting with the press on April 8 and made public on April 10.
He said that Ukrainian forces have participated in active activities abroad through the use of interceptor drones manufactured by Ukraine.
These interceptor UAVs have been proven effective in countering Shahed drones designed by Iran. This UAV is also used by Russia in the conflict in Ukraine.
This is not a training or exercise mission, but to support the construction of a modern air defense system that can operate effectively," said Zelensky.
Ukraine has engaged in defensive operations before a temporary ceasefire agreement in the Middle East was reached between Iran, the US and Israel this week.
Mr. Zelensky did not name the related countries but revealed that Ukrainian soldiers have been operating in many countries, helping to strengthen the air defense systems of these countries. Previously, the Ukrainian leader said that 228 of his country's experts had been deployed in the Middle East region.
In return, Ukraine received weapons to protect energy infrastructure, along with oil, diesel and even financial agreements.
Ukrainian leaders said that these agreements will strengthen Ukraine's energy stability and this partnership can be further promoted as Ukraine promotes defense exports.
This information was released amid concerns that the conflict in the Middle East could shift Western military support away from Ukraine, especially air defense supplies.
However, Mr. Zelensky said that partners continue to supply missiles to the Patriot system. A new shipment has arrived in Ukraine in recent days and Kiev is working with all partners to ensure that the country's air defense system is still maintained.
President Zelensky said he had urged US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to visit Kiev and propose a trilateral framework with Moscow.
Also in a sharing with the press, Mr. Zelensky said that Western allies are expected to fully restore Russia's oil sanctions.
Ukraine has intensified attacks on Russian energy locations amid volatile prices due to the Middle East conflict and eased US sanctions. President Zelensky revealed that partners urged Kiev to reduce attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure in the context of Iran's control of the Strait of Hormuz.
I won't say who asked us to do this. But partners asked - that's the truth. They asked at different levels, from political leaders to military leaders," he said.
