Xinhua News Agency reported that according to the weather forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, starting from Monday, March 15 to 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, strong cold winds and sandstorms will sweep through the areas of Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liuzhaigou, Jinan, Ningxi, Xi'an Tay, Son Tay, Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin.
Some areas in Inner Mongolia, Ninh Ha, Shipwreck and Son Tay will be affected by strong sand storms.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting recommends that people be on guard against strong winds and sand storms, and warn drivers to prepare for poor visibility.
China has a sand typhoon weather warning system with four levels coded in color, with red representing the most severe level, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
According to GCTN, the sand typhoon that China's capital Beijing is suffering is originating from Mongolia.
The terrible sandstorm made landfall in Mongolia over the weekend, killing at least six people, including a child and leaving more than 80 missing.
Mongolian authorities have reported a total of 548 missing people over the weekend, but 467 of them have been found.
