"In the long term, I hope to be able to return to my country," Yulia said.
According to Reuters, Yulia Skripal answered interviews with journalists in Russian at an unknown location, then submitted a handwritten English translation and refused to answer questions.
"After 20 days of being in a coma, I woke up and learned that both my father and I had poisoning," Yulia said. "I still find it difficult to talk about the attacks on both my father and I."
"We are very lucky to have survived this assassination. Shockingly, a neurotoxin was used.
"I was discharged from the hospital on April 9 and continued treatment, but my life was turned upside down as I tried to face brutal changes both physically and mentally."
Yulia said she will give her father, Sergei Skripal, more time to fully recover, and then probably return home.
"I want to take care of and help my father until he is well. In the long term, I hope to return to my hometown".
"I would like to address some issues directly and choose to interrupt my recovery process with this short statement. I ask everyone to respect the privacy of my father and I. We need time to recover and feel secure in the face of everything that has happened."
"I am very grateful for the support of the Russian Embassy in the UK, but for now I do not want to use this help."
After the interview was given, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told RT: "We would like Yulia Skripal to know that not a single day has passed without the Russian Foreign Ministry or the Russian Embassy in London trying to approach her, with the main purpose of ensuring that she is not obstructed in her will, not impersonated by anyone, to have the first information about her father and children's condition."
The Russian Embassy in the UK welcomed the interview, stating, "We are delighted to see Yulia Skripal alive and healthy. But the video of the interview and handwritten note once again raised concerns among Russian diplomats. We have once again asked London to consularise with Yulia to ensure that she is not under any pressure to make a statement."
On March 4, 2018, Yulia Skripal and her father Sergei Skripal, a former Russian agent, were found unconscious on a bench in a park in Salisbury. He accused Russia of being behind the arrest of Skripal for autologous nerve poisoning, Russia completely denied the accusation.
