According to Daily Mail, when a giant Boeing 747 appeared in a field in Chai Nai, northern Thailand in early July, local people were surprised.
According to this news site, the appearance of the "Queen of the Sky" in the fields caused a stir among villagers to take photos.
The plane appearing in Chai Nai was painted in the typical purple yellow color of Thai Airways Airlines. Almost all the doors to and from the plane were closed, so the villagers could not find out more.
Villager Prae Anan, 40, said: "At first, I thought it was possible that the plane ran out of fuel and stopped in the fields. I have never been on a plane, so this is a big surprise. It's unbelievable."
However, Somchai Phukieow, the owner of the land where the plane was parked, later revealed that he had purchased the mothership in an auction. The engine and computer parts were removed from the aircraft.
He said the Boeing 747 was transported here by truck. The owner of the land wants to create a small attraction here, along with a racetrack and a soccer field. "People can admire it in the air and watch sports from here," he said.
Mr. Somchai currently allows visitors to take photos of the plane from a distance but has not allowed anyone to get inside.
