On the afternoon of June 23, at the 24th Session of the Da Nang People's Council, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang said that Mr. Le Trung Chinh - Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee and Mr. Le Van Trung - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Da Nang City submitted an application for early retirement to facilitate the arrangement of cadres after the merger from July 1, 2025.
This has been approved by the Central Government and the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee. The People's Council of Da Nang City also acknowledged and highly appreciated the great contributions and feats of Mr. Le Trung Chinh and Mr. Le Van Trung in recent years.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Trung Chinh expressed his gratitude to the City Party Committee, People's Council, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, agencies, units, and the entire people and business community for always supporting, accompanying and helping the City People's Committee to successfully complete its tasks.
Mr. Le Trung Chinh (56 years old, from Hoa Phong commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city), has a bachelor's degree in Mathematical Pedagogy, and a doctorate in Education.
Mr. Le Trung Chinh worked as a teacher and then held many important positions in the education sector of Da Nang City. Since July 2010, he has held the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City.
Since March 2016, he has been Secretary of Ngu Hanh Son District Party Committee. In December 2018, he held the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City.
In December 2020, the People's Council of Da Nang City unanimously elected him to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City.
Meanwhile, Mr. Le Van Trung (59 years old, hometown in Hoa Cuong Bac ward, Hai Chau district, Da Nang), has a Master's degree in Civil and Industrial Construction Engineering.
Before holding the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, Mr. Trung was Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Director of the Da Nang Department of Transport.
