The 7.7 Richter earthquake occurred 16 km northwest of Sagaing, Myanmar, at a depth of 10 km, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The strong earthquake occurred at 12:50 on March 28, local time.
Bloomberg said that a strong earthquake in Myanmar could be clearly recorded in Bangkok, Thailand, forcing people to move out onto the streets.
In Bangkok, a landslide broke out that raised the alarm at around 1:30 p.m., forcing residents to evacuate high-rise buildings and hotels in central Bangkok.
Earthquakes can also be felt in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, causing vibrations.
