A cold air mass moving across the southern coast of China is forecast to affect the weather in Hong Kong (China), SCMP reported.
Temperatures in Hong Kong (China) are expected to drop again early this week, reaching a low of 13 degrees Celsius as a cold air mass approaches.
According to the latest weather forecast from the Hong Kong Observatory (China), the weather will be relatively warm and sunny over the weekend, with temperatures ranging from 18 to 23 degrees Celsius, before temperatures drop on February 3.
"A cold air mass is forecast to move across the southern coast of China on February 3. The weather will turn cold with one or two spells of rain in the area. It will be cold in the morning in inland areas," the weather forecast said.
Temperatures are expected to drop to 15 to 19 degrees Celsius on February 2, then drop to a low of 13 degrees Celsius on February 3. Temperatures in Hong Kong (China) are forecast to gradually increase to around 16-20 degrees Celsius on February 9.
Weather forecasters in Hong Kong (China) said that next week, the northeast monsoon is expected to be replaced by easterly winds, leading to cloudy and windy weather in the coastal area of Guangdong, China in the middle and the end of the week.

In the forecast of cold air developments in the next 24 to 48 hours, the Vietnam National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting stated that in the evening and night of February 2, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, then affect the Northwest region, North Central region, Central Central region and some places in the South Central region. The wind will change direction to Northeast inland, strengthening to level 3, coastal areas to level 3-4, with some places having gusts of level 6.
In the North from the night of February 2, it will be cold, in the mountainous areas of the North it will be very cold, with some places experiencing severe cold; in the North Central region from February 3, it will be cold; in the area from Quang Binh to Hue from the night of February 3, it will be cold. The lowest temperature during this cold air mass in the North and North Central regions is generally 11-14 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous areas of the North it is 8-10 degrees Celsius, in the high mountainous areas it is below 6 degrees Celsius; in the area from Quang Binh to Hue it is generally 15-17 degrees Celsius.

The Vietnam National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also noted that due to the influence of cold air, from the evening and night of February 2-3, the Northern region will have scattered rain and showers; from early morning of February 3-4, the Northern and Central Central regions will have rain and showers, locally with moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms. There is a possibility of severe cold in mountainous areas. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
