In the early morning of September 21 Vietnam time (evening of September 20 local time), singer Duc Phuc made history when he won the championship at the Intervision 2025 international music competition held at Live Arena Stadium, Moscow, Russia.
"Thank you very much for your congratulations. I am very happy at this time, I feel extremely proud, perhaps the greatest pride in my career, to win such a big competition. Representing the country is an honor for me. I am very happy that I have performed well," Duc Phuc said.
With an outstanding convincing score - 422 points, much higher than the runner-up (Kirgistan's third consecutive Nomad with 373 points), Duc Phuc not only brought home the prestigious crystal trophy but also received a prize of 30 million rubles (about 360,000 USD, equivalent to nearly 9 billion VND).
Duc Phuc said he will donate a portion of the prize to charity activities in Russia.
"Duc Phuc revealed a small secret: He wants to use a portion of the prize money he receives to contribute to a charity fund in Russia" - an interpreter conveyed Duc Phuc's words.

Speaking to TASS, the male singer described his victory as a moment that shaped his career.
Duc Phuc recalled that in 2015, he won The Voice Vietnam for the third season, but emphasized that winning at Intervision was much more meaningful.
"I have won before, but today I am much happier to be the winner of such a big international competition. This feeling is incomparable" - Duc Phuc added.
Intervision is a music competition organized by the International Radio and Television Union (ITU), which existed from 1946 to 1993.
The competition was held in the 1960s and 1980s, similar to Eurovision, a music award organized by the European broadcasting Union, separate from the ITU. The contest used to have the participation of not only socialist countries near the Soviet Union but also Austria, Belgium, Spain, Canada, the Netherlands and Portugal.
On February 3, 2025, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the reorganization of the Intervision international music competition.
Intervision 2025 brings together 23 representatives from countries such as Vietnam, China, India, Cuba, Venezuela, Egypt, South Africa... and host Russia.
The song that Duc Phuc brought to Intervision is called "Phu Dong Thien Vuong", composed by musician Ho Hoai Anh, inspired by the poem "Tre Viet Nam" by poet Nguyen Duy. The surprising highlight is that most of the songs are presented in Vietnamese, interspersed with a few English sentences to introduce the theme, making the international audience excited.
