Iran warns of expanding conflict to countries containing US bases

The Iranian government warned that the conflict would spread to the entire Middle Eastern nation that is placing US military bases and logistics facilities.

Mr. Ebrahim Azizi - Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament - affirmed that the war against the Islamic Republic will not be limited to the borders of this country.

On February 28, on social network X, Mr. Azizi wrote: "We have warned that this conflict will spread throughout the region". The message was posted with a detailed map identifying the locations of US military bases in Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.

This move is considered by observers as a direct warning to neighboring countries, forcing them to choose between maintaining an alliance with Washington or facing retaliatory blows from Tehran. The public disclosure of the map of US bases shows that Iran is ready to activate its ballistic missile network and command forces throughout the region.

Mr. Azizi's statement took place in the context that the US and Israeli militaries had just launched Operation "Lion Shooting" which heavily damaged Iran's command infrastructure, including reports of the departure of General Amir Hatami.

In the named countries, the alarm has been pushed to the highest level. Qatar and the UAE have begun emergency consultations with the US to ensure security for key oil and gas facilities and telecommunications infrastructure.

Meanwhile, security experts in the US are concerned that Iran's threat of widespread attacks could trigger an arms race or force Arab countries to close their airspace to US military aircraft to avoid being drawn into the vortex of conflict.

The combination of the coalition's physical attack and the threat of retaliatory action from Tehran is pushing the Middle East into the worst geopolitical crisis in decades.

Currently, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is said to have placed missile units at the border in the highest combat readiness. The world is holding its breath waiting to see if Washington will make any protection commitments for allies in the region in the face of Iran's "expansion of the conflict" threat.
