Iran declares the US and Israel have achieved nothing after the conflict

Iranian leaders affirmed that they do not trust Washington or Tel Aviv and are ready to restart military operations at any time.

On April 18, speaking on a television program quoted by Tasnim news agency, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that Israel and the US had not achieved the goals set out in the recent conflict.

According to Mr. Ghalibaf, despite possessing a great advantage in finance, technology and military capabilities, the opponent still cannot achieve the goals related to limiting Iran's influence in the region.

He believes that the fact that Israel and the US cannot change the balance of power or reduce Tehran's role is a sign that the strategy of putting pressure on Iran has not yielded the desired results.

All the goals they set were not achieved," Ghalibaf said, while saying that Iran still maintains its position after a period of prolonged tension. These statements were made in the context that the parties are maintaining a temporary ceasefire after weeks of military escalation in the Gulf region.

Although the situation is now calmer than before, Iranian officials said that the risk of new developments is still present. Therefore, Tehran continues to maintain a high level of vigilance against Israeli and US military activities in the region.

Mr. Ghalibaf also expressed skepticism about diplomatic commitments from the West. According to him, Iran does not trust the statements from Israel and the United States, and said that its armed forces are in a state of high combat readiness.

The Iranian Parliament Speaker emphasized that if further military action occurs from the opponent, Tehran will react immediately. He said that the Iranian military has prepared response plans and may resume military operations if necessary.

According to observers, tough statements from Iran are not only aimed at strengthening domestic morale but also sending a signal to the parties participating in the negotiations.

In the context that negotiations related to regional security and the possibility of easing sanctions may be resumed, Tehran is said to want to show that it still maintains its position and has not been weakened after the recent period of confrontation.

Experts also believe that Iran's continuous emphasis on military readiness shows that the level of distrust between the parties is still very high, even when the conflict temporarily subsides.
