The strikes were the latest in more than a year of direct clashes between Israel and Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen, which have been part of the spillover from the war in Gaza.
The Israeli military said the targets included a military area in the presidential palace, two power plants and a fuel depot.
"The strikes were carried out in response to the Houthi terrorist regime's repeated attacks on the State of Israel and civilians, including ground-to-ground missile launches and drones towards Israeli territory in recent days," the Israeli military said in an official statement.
According to information on social network X by the Houthi Ministry of Health spokesman, the attack killed 6 people and injured 86 others, this is the final number of casualties.
Previously, on August 22, the Houthis said that the ballistic missile that the force launched towards Israel was to show support for Palestinians in Gaza.
Until August 24, a senior Houthi official named Abdul Qader al-Murtada stressed that the force will continue to act in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
" Israel must know that we will not abandon our brothers in Gaza, no matter what we sacrifice," he told X.
Since the Israeli war in Gaza against the Hamas militant group began in October 2023, the Houthi forces have been attacking ships in the Red Sea and calling it an act of solidarity with the Palestinians.
The Houthis also regularly fired missiles at Israel but were mostly intercepted. Meanwhile, Israel has responded with attacks on Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen, including the key port of Hodeidah.
