On August 8, in Hanoi, the first session of the Ministry of Justice Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, solemnly took place with the participation of 196 delegates.
Member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Government Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long attended and directed the Congress.
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh emphasized that the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Justice, term 2025 - 2030, was held at a very important time.
The entire Party, people and army are actively implementing and completing the targets and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, carrying out the revolution of streamlining the apparatus and model of local governance at both levels, continuing to implement Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW dated November 9, 2022 of the Central Executive Committee on continuing to build and perfect the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new period, Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW dated April 30, 2025 of the Politburo on innovating the work of building and enforcing laws to meet the requirements of national development in the new era.
In that context, the Ministry and the Justice sector are honored to be trusted and assigned many responsibilities in advising and creating institutions and laws for the development of the country.
According to the Minister, the current context requires the Ministry and the Judiciary to strive, promote tradition, flexibly adapt, innovate leadership, direction and management methods, and working methods to handle a large, increasingly complex workload, meeting the requirements of the new situation.
Under the leadership of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Government, and the Prime Minister, the direct leadership of the Party Committee of the Ministry, the Ministry, and the Judiciary has promoted its pioneering role, participating in creating a solid legal foundation for national development, serving the people, and achieving many practical and meaningful results.
The Party Congress of the Ministry of Justice for the 2025-2030 term will review the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congress of the Ministry of Justice for the 2020-2025 term, thereby drawing lessons, identifying the direction, goals and tasks of the entire Party Committee in the next 5 years, in the context that the entire political system is focusing on implementing institutional breakthroughs, especially implementing Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW of the Central Executive Committee, Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW of the Politburo and moving towards the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress - a historic congress to bring the country into an era of strong and prosperous development.
Therefore, the 1st Congress of the Ministry of Justice Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term is an important milestone determining the strong change in thinking, organization and action of the Ministry of Justice Party Committee and also of the Ministry and the Justice sector.
The Congress identified the theme as "Joining hands, unanimously, determined to successfully implement the goals of innovation in law-making and law enforcement by 2030, contributing to institutional breakthroughs, the rule of law, and creating national development in the new era".
At the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Justice for the 2020-2025 term, Minister of Justice - was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Justice for the 2025-2030 term.
The 2 Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Justice for the 2025-2030 term are Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tinh - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Justice for the 2020-2025 term, Deputy Minister of Justice and Mr. Nguyen Quang Thai, full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Justice for the 2020-2025 term.
