From January 17-23, 2025, at Aeon Mall Ha Dong (Hanoi), NHK (Japan) will organize the event "Discover Japan" with NHK World-Japan with many special activities, aiming to improve the quality of service for listeners and promote the image of Japan and its culture.
Through NHK World-Japan, NHK also hopes to introduce its Vietnamese language services and foreign services to a wide audience in Vietnam, while promoting the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
The organizers said that the main activities in the event series include: Screening of videos introducing NHK World-Japan; interactive games. In particular, event attendees will also receive the textbook “Let’s Learn Japanese Together” along with many other attractive and interesting activities.
“The event Discover Japan with NHK World-Japan is an opportunity for NHK to interact and exchange directly with Vietnamese audiences and listeners; helping us better understand the feelings and opinions of audiences and listeners towards the station's Vietnamese service, thereby contributing to improving service quality in the future. The event is also a bridge to strongly promote the friendly and cooperative relationship between the people of Japan and Vietnam” - the representative of the organizing committee emphasized.
NHK (Nippon Hoso Kyokai) is the first and only public broadcasting company in Japan. NHK was established on New Year's Day 1926, modeled after the British BBC, by merging Radio Tokyo and stations in Nagoya and Osaka.
NHK currently has four domestic television channels and three radio channels. NHK World conducts international broadcasting activities to provide the world with domestic and international information, Japanese culture and lifestyle, and to promote friendship and cultural exchange.
