VNA reported that many Vietnamese people in Moscow met, cheered, encouraged and gave warm and affectionate feelings to the Vietnamese soldiers participating in the Victory Day parade on May 9.
As soon as the vehicles carrying the Vietnamese military group stopped, overseas Vietnamese surrounded them, waving flags, carrying a picture of Uncle Ho, the Vietnamese flag, and singing the song "Like Uncle Ho on a happy day of great victory".

The warm handshakes and emotional smiles between the army and the people made the atmosphere of Red Square overflow with affection. Many traders said they had closed their stores early to be here, not only adults but also many children were brought by their parents to cheer for the soldiers.

The Vietnam People's Army delegation said they were very happy and excited when the Minister of National Defense and General Phan Van Giang sent a letter of commendation, highly appreciating the will, efforts and determination of the soldiers in practicing to participate in the upcoming parade.

In the past, the soldiers had days of high-intensity training in fluctuating weather in Russia, even when the snow fell heavily, but they still tried to overcome them to excellently complete their tasks.

Happiness, touching and proud to be the emotion of many Vietnamese people living and studying in Russia when the first time the Vietnam People's Army participated in the parade to celebrate the victory day in the great national defense war in the Russian Federation. The patriotism and solidarity of Vietnamese people really touch the hearts of Russian and international friends.
