In addition, the first Vietnam - Singapore Strategic Dialogue (the first strategic dialogue mechanism that our Party established with a foreign political party) co-chaired by Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and Deputy Secretary General of the People's Action Party, took place very effectively and substantively.

Minister Le Hoai Trung said that this is a specific and very early step in implementing the high-level agreements reached during the visit to Singapore in May by General Secretary and President To Lam, in accordance with the "action" thinking - turning will into action, policy decisions into results that the General Secretary and President have clearly stated.

Thereby promoting Party-to-Party channel relations to deepening, general orientations for Vietnam - Singapore relations, especially in key and strategic areas, creating conditions to further deepen comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

On the occasion of this Strategic Dialogue, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the two sides have approved the Cooperation Plan for Cadre Training for the period 2027 - 2029, and the Joint Statement on strategic technology connection.

The two sides for the first time have a Joint Statement on the Technology Connection Strategy, emphasizing cooperation in co-creation, co-research and co-development, towards an innovative ecosystem; strengthening connectivity in strategic technology, digital transformation, digital economy; connecting research centers, businesses, universities and innovative organizations; promoting complementarity between the two economies. This is an affirmation of commitment to make scientific, technological and innovative cooperation an important pillar of Vietnam-Singapore relations. These contents demonstrate the determination of the leaders of the two countries to strive to realize the common vision of making Vietnam and Singapore leading strategic technology partners in Southeast Asia" - Minister Le Hoai Trung affirmed.

Based on the important results achieved during the visit, Minister Le Hoai Trung said that it is necessary to develop an early and effective implementation plan from the initial steps of the agreed contents.

At the same time, promote the implementation of the state-enterprise-research institute connection model in important cooperation fields between the two countries. Gradually shift cooperation to fields with higher technology content, knowledge and added value, suitable to Vietnam's new development needs and promoting Singapore's strengths.

The higher goal is that the two countries jointly aim to create a resonance-based innovation ecosystem, in which the subjects of the two countries can jointly research, jointly develop and jointly produce - jointly create new technologies, products, services and business models. Vietnam and Singapore not only receive or exchange technology, but can also jointly create value, serving the development needs of the two countries.

Ministries, branches, and localities need to thoroughly grasp the common understanding of senior leaders of the two countries, concretize the focuses of cooperation into programs, plans, and projects with clear goals, roadmaps, and responsibilities; taking practical efficiency and the interests of people and businesses as a measure.
