On January 19, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang received a delegation of reporters from Communist Party newspapers, Party newspapers with important positions and roles in countries, media agencies of the Vietnamese community abroad and international press agencies to Vietnam to report on the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (14th Congress of the Party).
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang affirmed that the 14th Party Congress is a particularly important historical event, marking a major turning point in Vietnam's development process, not only summarizing and evaluating the achievements of 40 years of Doi Moi but also defining goals and visions, through sound and strong policies, bringing Vietnam into a new era of development.
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang said that in the context of the world and regional situation in 2025 developing rapidly, complicatedly, and unpredictably, under the leadership of the Party, Vietnam has made important and breakthrough changes in institutions, including issuing 9 strategic Resolutions in key development fields, and at the same time rearranging the development space, rearranging administrative boundaries, and deploying the two-level local government model.
Vietnam continues to be a bright spot in the region, the scale of Vietnam's economy reached 510 billion USD, growth rate of over 8%, average per capita income reached nearly 5,000 USD, exports reached a record 800 billion USD, attracting more than 20 million international tourists. National defense and security continue to be maintained. The international position is constantly consolidated and enhanced. The above achievements of Vietnam have all been reported by international press and media agencies, spreading to the international community.
With that spirit, the Deputy Minister directed units in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to create the most favorable conditions for the international press delegation to work during the Congress, thereby conveying the messages and results of the 14th Party Congress to the international community in a positive, comprehensive and objective manner. The Deputy Minister also wished the press delegation to have a successful working trip to Vietnam, witness firsthand the socio-economic achievements, experience the cultural and historical beauties of Vietnam, and contribute to further promoting Vietnam's image to international friends, helping the world better understand Vietnam's development path.
