Towards an era of development and prosperity

Over the past 95 years (1930-2025), our nation, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, has created miraculous breakthroughs and glorious eras. That was the era of national independence and the building of socialism (1930-1975); the era of national unification and innovation (1975-2025) and now, we are entering the third era - the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise, starting with the important event, the 14th National Party Congress.

The three eras are the lawful continuation of the Vietnamese revolution under the leadership of the Party.

According to Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, it is the historical achievements gained through two eras of struggle and persistent creative labor that have created the premise and solid foundation for Vietnam to enter the third era: the era of national rise, starting from the 14th National Party Congress.

This “is the era of development, the era of prosperity under the leadership and rule of the Party, successfully building a socialist Vietnam. The destination of the era of self-improvement is a rich people, a strong country, a socialist society, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.

The top priority in the new era is to successfully implement the strategic goals by 2030, Vietnam becomes a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045 it becomes a developed socialist country with high income.

Bring the country to comprehensive, strong development, breakthrough and take off

According to Professor Phung Huu Phu, to prepare to enter a new era of national development, the requirement for a breakthrough in thinking and perception is a very important content.

The era of national development takes place in parallel with the digital era, the era of innovation and creativity in which the common voice of humanity is "nothing is impossible". The fourth industrial revolution and the following industrial revolutions are and will change the way of thinking, production, and living of nations, communities, and each individual.

Therefore, we need to have theoretical breakthroughs with new approaches to socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam...

Discussing this content, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam - Director and Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Truth - said that the overarching requirement in creating a new era is to simultaneously carry out a "double breakthrough" process.

That is, we must make a breakthrough straight into modernity, into high-tech fields, especially digital technology, in which Vietnam has advantages; into modern national governance on the basis of digital government, digital society, digital citizens, creating outstanding development in economy, culture, society, national defense, security, and foreign affairs.

At the same time, there must be a breakthrough in thoroughly resolving the bottlenecks, weaknesses, limitations, and difficulties that are holding back and hindering the country's development. These two breakthrough processes need to be carried out in parallel, synchronously, and support each other.
