Since the start of the Russian offensive in Kursk province on August 6, Ukraine has lost more than 18,900 soldiers, 133 tanks, 65 infantry fighting vehicles, 98 armored personnel carriers, 856 armored fighting vehicles, 562 cars, 150 artillery pieces, 33 launchers of various types of rockets, including 8 HIMARS and 6 US-made multiple launch systems, 9 anti-aircraft missile launchers, 5 transport vehicles - excavators, 38 electronic warfare stations, 9 counter-battery radars, 3 air defense radars, 19 engineering units and other equipment, including 11 bulldozers, 1 UR-77 mine clearance vehicle, as well as 2 armored vehicle repair - restoration vehicles.
Also yesterday, the Russian army repelled five attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to cross the border in Kursk province.
“With the support of the air force and artillery fire, Russian units repelled five attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to cross the border of the Russian Federation in the direction of the settlement of Novy Put. The enemy’s losses included more than 30 soldiers killed, 3 armored fighting vehicles, 1 car and 1 M-88 armored technical repair vehicle of American production that were put out of action,” the announcement of the Russian Ministry of National Defense stated.
In addition, over the past 24 hours, units of the Russian grouping repelled two enemy counterattacks in the direction of the settlements of Lyubimovka and Plekhovo, and prevented an attempt to attack in the direction of Olgovka and Kamyshevka.
As a result, the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered up to 60 dead and wounded, 2 armored fighting vehicles and 1 car - the statement of the Russian Ministry of National Defense clearly stated the progress in defeating the attempted infiltration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the territory of the Russian Federation in the Kursk region.
