VNA reported that on July 8, the US Treasury Department announced that it had issued a new general license, extending a number of administrative transactions with the Russian Central Bank until October 9, 2025.
During the above period, individuals and organizations owned or operated directly or indirectly by Americans are allowed to pay import taxes, fees or taxes and purchase or receive licenses, certificates, registration or tax refunds, provided that such transactions are normal and necessary for the daily operations of US individuals or organizations in the Russian Federation.
In 2022, the US banned its citizens from trading with the Central Bank, the Direct Investment Fund and the Russian Ministry of Finance during sanctions on Russia's special military campaign in Ukraine.
