The US Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI) is leading an investigation into a hunting cabin discovered within close range of President Donald Trump's position when leaving the Air Force One.
In a notice posted on X network on October 19, FBI Director Kash Patel said that US Secret Service agents had discovered a suspicious hut near the Air Force One area near Palm Beach International Airport.
According to Security spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, the hunting club was discovered on October 17 while agents were conducting security checks around the airport before Mr. Trump's flight.
At that time, President Trump spent the weekend at Mar-a-Lago resort.
There was no impact on the Presidents travel activities, and no individuals were found involved at the scene, Guglielmi said, adding, While we cannot disclose details about the findings or their purpose, this incident shows the importance of the multi-layered security system we apply.

After discovering the hunting club, the investigation force blocked all lanes on Southern Boulevard - the route running parallel to the southern boundary of the airport - for about 24 hours, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
Before each visit of the President, security agencies often set up protective belts around the area where Mr. Trump and his delegations depended on leaving the plane. Snipers were deployed on the roofs, while a row of yellow buses were arranged as protective shields, while police set up checkpoints at the routes leading to the airport.
The discovery on October 19 took place about a month after Ryan Routh was convicted of a plot to assassinate Mr. Trump in September 2024 at West Palm Beach Golf Course, not far from the airport.
Previously, in July 2024, Mr. Trump was injured in the right ear when a gunman opened fire from a roof near the site of a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The attack killed one Trump supporter and injured two others. The Secret Service shot down the attacker, identified him as Thomas Crooks, 20.
