Moscow is ready to negotiate on the Ukraine issue on the condition that Western countries have a constructive and mature approach, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told TASS on August 4.
We are always ready to negotiate and open to a negotiated solution, we have proven this many times. It is the other side, the Ukrainian side, that withdrew from the negotiations, they withdrew, and then forbade themselves from participating, acting inconsistently," he said on the sidelines of the 3rd Kazakhstan - Russia Media Forum.
If understanding of the need for honest, constructive dialogue to resolve the known root causes of the conflict has formed in the West, then perhaps prospects for such dialogue will emerge, the official noted.
But if not, if the other side does not have such readiness, and does not have the goodwill to ensure that the Kiev government complies with the agreements reached between their Western sponsors and us, then we will continue the special military operation," Galuzin added.
