The Kremlin said that the exercise will include all components of Russia's " tri-nuclear ministry", including the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile, the Sineva ballistic missile and the Tu-95 strategic bomb squadron.
According to the Kremlin, the operation aims to test the capabilities of military command structures.
The Chief of the Armed Forces, General Valery Gerasimov, told President Putin via television that the exercise was aimed at prosecuting the process of allowing the use of nuclear weapons.
In addition to President Putin and General Gerasimov, the online meeting was attended by Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. These are also three key players in the nuclear weapons launch process if war comes to an end.
Russia also held a joint exercise with Belarus in mid-September, called the Zapad-2025. The event took place from September 13 to September 16 at Mulino Stadium, Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia.

Speaking to the soldiers, the Russian leader emphasized that the goal of the exercise was to practice the ability to protect the Coalition State (called the Russia-Belarus alliance) from all aggressive actions.
Mr. Putin affirmed that the drill applies all modern weapons technology and strategies built on the experiences that Russia has acquired in the special military campaign in Ukraine.
According to President Putin, there were 100,000 soldiers and 10,000 equipment of all kinds, including 333 tactical, strategic and transport aircraft, present at 41 training grounds within the framework of the Zapad-2025 exercise.
More than 247 warships, including surface ships, Submarines and logistics ships, also participated in the exercise.
