Russian forces have seized control of the settlement of Annovka in Donetsk province in the past 24 hours of the special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on August 25.
Units of the Central Operations Group have liberated the settlement of Annovka in the Donetsk People's Republic through active and decisive activities," the statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense stated.
Also according to the latest data from this agency, the Ukrainian army lost about 1,275 soldiers in battles with Russian forces throughout the frontline area within 24 hours.
The Central Operations Group - the Annovka control force - caused damage of about 350 troops, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 9 motorized vehicles, one cannon and 3 electronic warfare stations. The battles took place near Viktorovka, Belozerskoye, Novotroitskoye, Gruzskoye, Dobropolye, Novogrishino in Donetsk and Maryevka and Yuryevka in Dnepropetrovsk province.
In the past 24 hours, the tactical air force, attack drones, Russian missile and artillery forces have attacked a defense industrial facility, logistics centers, fuel infrastructure, energy, transportation and seaport serving the Ukrainian army, ammunition depots, a preparation and launch site for Flamingo long-range cruise missiles, assembly workshops and warehouses for unmanned aerial vehicles and components, as well as temporary garrisons of Ukrainian units and foreign mercenaries at 153 locations.
Russian air defense forces announced that they have shot down 460 fixed-wing drones, 8 guided bombs and 5 rockets from the US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system.
