In a televised address after announcing the passing of the eldest princess, the eldest daughter of King Maha Vajiralongkorn, Prime Minister Anutin emphasized that the princess is admired for "her outstanding ability as a legal scholar, diplomat and social activist", while praising her contributions to Thai society.
According to Thai media, Miss Universe Thailand 1988 Porntip "Bui" Nakhirunkanok Simon expressed her condolences on the passing of Princess Bajrakitiyabha and sent deep condolences on her social media account.
Former Miss Porntip expressed sadness upon hearing the news of the death of the Thai Princess. She expressed her respect for the princess's kindness and affirmed that these qualities will forever be deeply ingrained in the hearts of the Thai people.
She also recalled the great honor of meeting Princess Bajrakitiyabha many times since she was young, especially when she was sitting in her lap. Mrs. Porntip said she would always remember Princess Bajrakitiyabha's radiant smile, sharp intelligence and graceful demeanor.

Princess Bajrakitiyabha is famous for her community service activities and justice-related initiatives. Princess Bajrakitiyabha passed away at the age of 47 after a long illness, according to a statement from the Thai Royal Family on the morning of June 12.
The Thai Royal Family said that King Vajiralongkorn has ordered the royal funeral ceremony with the most solemn ritual for his eldest daughter. The princess's remains will be placed at Piman Rattaya Palace in the Royal Palace.
On June 12, supporters of the Thai Royal Family gathered outside the Chulalongkorn King Memorial Hospital after hearing the news of Princess Bajrakitiyabha's death.
Among those who came to pay respects was the 8-year-old boy Nammon, who came to the hospital with his grandmother to see off Princess Bajrakitiyabha. Nammon knew the princess through the stories she told and television programs about the princess's contributions to society. Therefore, Nammon was determined to come to the hospital to express his respect and condolences.
Ms. Chorn, 62 years old, from Chumphon and living in Min Buri district, Bangkok, said that she came to the hospital in the afternoon of June 10 after hearing the news that the princess's health condition had deteriorated. Ms. Chorn came there hoping to hear good news and always believed that a miracle would happen. However, after hearing the official announcement, she was very heartbroken.
Ms. Chorn said that whenever the Royal Thai Family updates information about Princess Bajrakitiyabha's health status in the past 3 years, she still hopes that the princess will recover. She plans to stay in the hospital while waiting for further announcements about procedures after Princess Bajrakitiyabha's death.
