In recent days, after storm No. 10 broke many light poles in Bac Hong Linh ward, people took photos and posted them on social media, causing a stir about the suspicion of poor column quality.
Accordingly, many people believe that the iron core inside is small and small, so the load-bearing capacity will be weak.
Regarding this issue, on the morning of October 8, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a leader of Bac Hong Linh Ward - said that storm No. 10 broke 2 lighting poles on Tien Son Street with a quantity of about 10 poles.
These are pillars that have been used since the projects to expand National Highway 1A and National Highway 8A through the area more than 10 years ago.

The leader of Bac Hong Linh ward also said that the locality is currently reviewing the documents of those lamp posts, assessing the quality, and then replacing those broken and fallen poles.
Previously, after storm No. 10, Ha Tinh also had a stir about 2 electric poles (double columns) in Xuan Loc commune falling down, exposing different iron bars, including round iron and V-shaped iron.
The incident caused public opinion to think that the quality of electric poles "had problems", suspecting that they were not of good quality and were unable to withstand the pressure of the storm.
The Electricity Company later informed that the unit had proactively provided documents to the police agency to coordinate the inspection, and at the same time worked with Khanh Vinh Company Limited to request the review of documents, inspection, and retestation of technical indicators of the electricity pole they provided.

The broken electric pole used to cause a stir is the centering concrete pole produced by Khanh Vinh Company Limited. The product is manufactured according to TCVN 5847:1994, has been granted a certificate of compliance with standards by QUACERT, allowing the use of quality stamps, and has been accepted by the technical council before installation.
According to regulations, the standard does not require the use of only one type of steel; manufacturers can use different types of steel provided that they are able to withstand the design's load-bearing capacity.
Results of the quality inspection, at the time of production in 2013, the center-right concrete column of Khanh Vinh Company Limited was manufactured according to the Design documents of the center-right concrete power pole, the design was organized by Quacert and issued with certificate number SP 246-1.13.16 certifying the product of the center-right concrete column in accordance with TCVN 5847:1994.
Ha Tinh Power Company affirmed: The responsibility of the electricity industry when purchasing and receiving products is to ensure Vietnamese technical standards. The choice of technology and type of steel is under the authority of the manufacturer; all products must go through independent inspection. If not meet the standards, it will absolutely not be released to the market.
Ha Tinh Electricity affirms that it will make information transparent and resolutely handle products that do not meet standards.
