The parade was held in Beijing, China to commemorate Japan's official surrender in World War 2.

According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreign leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, will attend a large-scale parade in Beijing.

Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Hong Loi informed at a press conference that 26 heads of state and leaders of foreign governments will attend the parade held on September 3.

Also attending the parade will be President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of Iran Masoud Pezashkian, President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and President of the National Assembly of Korea Woo Won Shik.

China's "Victory Day" parade on September 3 is considered an important event demonstrating China's growing military power and demonstrating diplomatic solidarity between China, Russia and countries in the Global South group.

During the parade, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, along with senior Chinese leaders and foreign leaders, watched tens of thousands of soldiers parade at Thien An Mon Square.

The elaborately staged parade, expected to be one of China's largest parades in many years, will display advanced equipment such as fighter jets, missile defense systems and hypersonic weapons.
