Mr. Mark Carney sworn in as Prime Minister of Canada

On March 14, Mr. Mark Carney, former Governor of the Central Bank, was officially sworn in as Prime Minister of Canada, succeeding Mr. Justin Trudeau.

Mr. Carney affirmed that he can work with US President Donald Trump even though the relationship between the two countries is tense due to tariff policies. However, he has no immediate plans to dialogue with Mr. Trump but will visit London and Paris first.

Mr. Trump launched an overwhelming military campaign in Yemen

US President Donald Trump ordered an airstrike on Houthi forces in Yemen on March 15, killing at least 23 people and injuring more than 20, according to the Houthi-controlled Department of Health.

Mr. Trump said the US will deploy "overwhelming fire" against the Houthis, accusing the group of conducting "pingcation, violence and terrorism campaigns" at sea.

The military campaign is expected to last for days or weeks. Mr Trump also warned Iran not to continue supporting the Houthis, otherwise it would have to take full responsibility.

French politician Raphael Glucksmann called for the US to return the statue of the Goddess of Independence in a speech on March 16, criticizing President Donald Trump's policies that go against the statue's value.

The statue of the Goddess of Peace is a gift from France to the US in 1886, symbolizing freedom and democracy. Mr. Glucksmann said that the US is no longer worthy of this symbol and declared that France is ready to welcome American scientists affected by the Trump administration's policies.

The White House rejected the call to return the freedom Goddess statue to France, asserting that the European nation "could have spoken German" without US support in World War II.

2 astronauts trapped on ISS return to Earth

The two astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have returned to Earth safely after 9 months trapped on the International Space Station (ISS) due to the Boeing Starliner incident.

On March 18, they and two other astronauts boarded crew Dragon, separating from the ISS at 12:05, landing in Florida Bay after 17 hours of travel. The rescue team quickly salvaged the ship and took them to the Johnson Space Center for health check-ups before reuniting with their families.

According to Reuters, the bomb exploded right after his convoy left the Presidential Palace, causing serious damage. Local media reported that at least 10 people were killed, including 7 presidential guards.

Mr. Mohamud was not injured and continued to work in the state of Hirshabelle. The United Nations condemned the attack, saying it supported the Saudi government against the Shabaab group.

He expressed his satisfaction, affirming that the system has high reliability and outstanding combat responsiveness. KCNA did not disclose the testing location.

The launch took place when South Korea ended the "Friendship Green" drill. The North Korean Defense Ministry has criticized this as a "larygeous" act and warned that it will respond with "the most destructive military means".
