China's national television reported on October 17 that Mongolian Prime Minister Gombojav Zandanshatar resigned after taking office just four months ago.
Gombojav Zandanshatar resigned as Mongolian prime minister after losing the support of the country's parliament.
According to China's Xinhua News Agency, Mongolian lawmakers voted to remove Zandanshatar on October 17.
Mr. Gombojav Zandanshatar, 55 years old, was once the Foreign Minister and National Assembly Chairman of Mongolia.
Gombojav Zandanshatar has been Mongolia's 32nd prime minister since June this year.
He was confirmed by Mongolian lawmakers as prime minister after his predecessor Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene resigned, also after losing the support of the National Assembly.
Mongolian politics has been rocked by waves of instability in recent years amid public outrage over corruption and a weak domestic economy.
The resignation of two consecutive prime ministers within a few months is expected to affect investor sentiment in this resource-rich country.
