On the afternoon of October 17, at the National Assembly House, Mr. Le Quang Manh - Permanent Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office - chaired a press conference on the expected agenda of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
At this session, instead of amending the 2024 Land Law, the National Assembly reviewed and approved the National Assembly Resolution stipulating a number of mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles in organizing the implementation of the Land Law.
Responding to the press about why the 2024 Land Law amendment has not been implemented at this session, Ms. Pham Thi Hong Yen - a full-time National Assembly delegate working at the Economic and Financial Committee - said that the 2024 Land Law has been issued and come into effect, directly affecting all socio-economic activities of businesses and people, and there are many detailed documents guiding the implementation of the law.
However, from 2024 to now, Vietnam has faced many unpredictable fluctuations in the world economy.

Ms. Pham Thi Hong Yen also affirmed that Vietnam is focusing on prioritizing growth, one of the extremely important contents in recent times is to carry out a revolution in restructuring the apparatus and organizing local governments at 2 levels.
This requires policies that can immediately remove shortcomings to adapt to the new context with new development goals and new organizational models.
The reason for not amending the Land Law is that there needs to be a complete and comprehensive assessment, while also ensuring solutions when making laws, ensuring comprehensiveness, foundation, synchronization and connectivity, the principle of harmonizing the interests of the State, people and businesses in the process of law making. The comprehensive amendment of the Land Law will be studied in the coming time" - Ms. Yen explained.
