A poll conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) showed that the level of trust in President Vladimir Putin among the Russian public is at 78%. 80% of respondents approve of the way the Russian leader is doing his job.
The poll was conducted from December 13 to 15, with 1,500 respondents.
“When asked directly whether they trust Putin, 78% of respondents said yes (down 2%). The majority also noted the president's work efficiency (down 1% to 80%)” - TASS quoted information from FOM.
A total of 54% of respondents approved of the way the Russian government runs the country (up 3%), while 56% approved of the way Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin works (unchanged).
Support for the ruling United Russia party remained at 46%. Support for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) fell 1 percentage point to 7%, while support for the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) rose 2 percentage points to 9%.
Support for the Just Russia - For Truth party fell from 1% to 2%, while support for the New People's Party fell from 4% to 2%.
