The stunning video that went viral on Russian social media last week is believed to have been taken in Syria.
Video taken from inside the cargo hold of a transport aircraft, believed to be the Il-76. The employees on the plane were releasing some supplies in the air.
After the Il-76 deployed all its cargo, the Su-30SM approached the cargo hold to see the pilots inside the cockpit and other details of the fighter jet clearly.
This risky approach took place about 1 minute before fighters crashed into the transport aircraft.
It is not yet known at what time the video was recorded or whether any soldiers were reprimanded for the risk caused by this approach. According to RT, it seems that the crew members on the plane were very comfortable, without any concerns, suggesting that the approach was likely planned in advance.
