Trump has even threatened to reconsider the federal grant seized to replace the Francis Scott Key bridge that collapsed in Baltimore last year.
The US president's statements are said to be in response to a challenging letter from Governor Maryland to Trump last week.
At the time, Mr. Moore invited the US leader to visit Baltimore on a deciding schedule, after Mr. Trump made many criticisms of local government crime control and the intention to deploy the National Guard in Washington, D.C. and many other cities.
In an interview on August 24, Governor Moore said that President Trump's comments on crime were "expressive" and expressed his dissatisfaction with Mr Trump's statements.
While the President spent his time from the Oval Office mocking and attacking us, there were people who were actually at the scene doing the work and knowing what support was really effective to continue reducing crime, he added.
Not stopping there, Mr. Trump continued to write on the social networking platform Truth Social that, "Baltimore is out of control, full of crimes", saying that Mr. Moore should " get to work" instead of making statements.
President Trump also wrote: " ong Moore's record in crime is very bad, unless he distorts crime data like many other 'blue'.
Previously, according to Mr. Moore, since he took office, killings in Maryland have decreased by 20% across the state.
Mr. Moore said that in the first 6 months of 2025, the Department of Police in Baltimore saw a double-digit decline in gun violence, including a 28% reduction in homicides and a 19,9% reduction in non-lethal shootings compared to the previous year.
