Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on November 18 that the country would seek to restart the diplomatic process to end the conflict with Russia.
Speaking at a press conference in Madrid with the Spanish Prime Minister, he said it was important to receive continuous support from partners as we strive to find a peaceful solution.
Mr Zelensky said he plans to discuss with Turkish President Tayyip Putin how to achieve a "fair peace". Turkey has hosted talks between Ukrainian and Russian representatives in 2022 and this year, although these meetings have not yet brought about a peace end.
According to Mr. Zelensky, the meeting with Mr. Putin is expected to create a foundation for substantive exchanges. He also mentioned that Ukraine has received some signals from the US regarding efforts to promote diplomatic progress, but did not provide details.
The above statements were made in the context of Kiev seeking to expand contact channels, aiming for solutions based on international support and dialogue with intermediary parties.
