On June 22, 2025, answering a reporter's question asking to know Vietnam's reaction to the US attack on a number of Iranian nuclear facilities in the early morning of June 22, 2025 (Vietnam time), Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Pham Thu Hang stated:

Vietnam is deeply concerned about the complicated conflict situation in the Middle East, seriously threatening the lives and safety of civilians, peace and stability in the region and the world. Vietnam calls on relevant parties to immediately end military actions, including attacks on nuclear facilities, continue negotiation efforts, resolve disagreements by peaceful means, on the basis of international law, especially the United Nations Charter, respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity of countries, international humanitarian law and regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
