Quang Chau traffic police said that on July 1, a man driving while watching a phone crashed, killing 3 people and injuring 3 others.
According to the announcement of the Traffic Police Team, Quang Chau City Police, the accident occurred at around 11:00 a.m. on July 1 near Trung Son Nghia Street in Viet Tu District, Quang Chau.
After receiving the report of the accident, the police quickly arrived at the scene and assisted in taking the injured to the hospital for emergency care.
Preliminary investigation shows that the person causing the accident was the driver, surnamed Tran, 64 years old, who lost control while driving while watching the phone.
Currently, Tran has been detained by the police for investigation and the suspicion of driving while drunk or using drugs has been ruled out.
