Several gunmen opened fire inside a restaurant in Brooklyn on the morning of August 17.
Police received a report of a shooting at the Taste of the City Lounge restaurant at 903 Franklin Avenue, Crown Heights area at around 3:30 a.m. on August 17, New York City Police Department official Jessica Tisch informed.
The deceased victims were identified as 3 men, one 27 year old, one 35 year old and one of unknown age.
The eight injured victims were taken to local hospitals. The status of the injured victims in the shooting has not been announced.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The suspects have not been identified.
Authorities seized at least 36 bullet shells at the scene.
The New York Police Department has opened an investigation into the shooting.
Taste of the City Lounge restaurant specializes in serving American and Caribbean dishes, has a bar full of drinks, shisha services and a DJ performing.
