According to storm news, the latest low pressure from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), currently appears a low pressure area LPA 09g, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), in the context of weather in many areas of this country continuing to worsen.
According to the bulletin at 8:00 AM on September 21 (Philippines time), low pressure LPA 09g is located about 2,045km east of East Visayas and is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours. PAGASA's monitoring images identify the system at 11.9 degrees North latitude and 144.3 degrees East longitude.
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon (Habagat) is forecast to bring cloudy skies and scattered rain to the western southern Luzon region, Philippines. PAGASA warns of flash floods and landslides that may occur during strong thunderstorms.
In the central area of the Philippines, it will be cloudy at times with showers or localized thunderstorms.
The weather at sea is also differentiated. Northern Luzon and areas east of central and southern Luzon are forecast to have moderate to strong winds, northeast to northwest, while the sea area may be in a state of moderate to strong rough seas. Mindanao has light to moderate winds in the south to southwest direction and light to moderate rough seas.
PAGASA recommends that people continue to follow the latest bulletins on low pressure LPA 09h and weather developments, especially in areas at risk of heavy thunderstorms, flash floods and landslides.
