The tournament is organized by TPG Communication and Education Joint Stock Company, within the 6-person football competition system oriented to develop according to the national model from 2026. According to the plan, the tournament will be deployed in 4 areas including Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang and Can Tho before organizing the national final round expected to take place in Ho Chi Minh City.
This year's Southern region gathers 12 teams including CTG FC, Ta Pha Nghia Ky, Thao Vy Organic, OCB Ho Chi Minh, Hong Lac FC, Co Do FC, Hoang Long FC, Thai Binh Gia Bao, Ho Phui FC, MNC FC, Xay dung Minh Canh and Tam Cuong Phat Gia Lai.
A noteworthy point of the 2026 season is that the organizers do not limit the number of professional players participating, thereby creating conditions for teams to improve the quality of their forces and increase professional competitiveness. In addition, some competition rules are also adjusted to better suit reality, based on the 6-a-side football rules of the World Amateur Football Federation (WMF).
According to the organizers, the expansion of the national-scale competition system is expected to contribute to promoting the 6-person football movement to develop more widely in the coming time, and at the same time create opportunities for strong teams in each region to compete in the national finals.
The total value of awards in the Southern region this year increased compared to last season, in which the champion team received 50 million VND, the runner-up team received 15 million VND and the third-placed team received 5 million VND, along with individual titles for outstanding players.
In addition to professional activities, the organizers said that the tournament will combine the implementation of a number of community programs in 2026. Former Vietnamese futsal player Nguyen Minh Tri is expected to participate as an image representative, contributing to spreading the spirit of sports training in the community.
